The Taj Mahal is a domed shape monument which is made from the pure white marble. It has a complex structure with great art forms. It was started in 1632 and finally completed in 1653. Several years were taken to complete this magnificent building which involved lots of craftsmen and the artisans. The design of the Taj Mahal was prepared by Lahauri.

The center of attraction is the tomb which consists of an arc shaped front entrance. The tomb is standing on the plinth which is square shaped. As like the most of the Mughal tombs are designed same is the style used in designing this wonderful piece of art. From the inside view one can see the chambers which are arranged in an octagon form.

Every year more than two millions of visitors come to visit this historical place which is marked by the beauty and fragrance of the atmosphere. It has again made its name in the list of Seven Wonders of the World. It is open for six days except Friday as it is engaged for prayers during these days. The visitors can enter from the pathway which is surrounded by the beautiful gardens. Visitors can enjoy the scintillating beauty of this exclusive art at night also. It is open especially for the tourist. You are not allowed to carry any eatables inside the Taj Mahal.
