The great and very famous landmark of India Sanchi Stupa is located in the Sanchi village of Madhya Pradesh. The front segment of this monument and the grand pillars are excellently carved with spectacular architectural designs which overall provides a classical look to this Stupa.

As the time passed on, Buddhism started declining in India and these monuments and Buddhist pilgrimages went out of exercise and fell into the condition of refurbish.  In 1912, a proper and well managed reconstruction work was again started and these primordial structures were restored to their original state.
