This Indian monument is greatly inspired by Pramukh Swami Maharaj who was the head of the famous Sanstha called Shri Akshar Prushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha.

The grand Akshardham Temple is well enhanced with 9 domes, 234 carved pillars and 20,000 statues of Hindu deities, devotees and saints of the ancient times.
The central dome of this grand temple contains an 11 foot high statue of Swaminarayan. This grand statue is surrounded with several statues of the gurus of the primeval periods. The central monument of this complex also contains the statues of various Hindu Deities like Ram, Sita, Vishnu, Laxmi, Radha and Krishna.
