sinister black firmament. It utilizes nearly ninety seven thousand light bulbs to create an enthralling image of this palace. This palace occupies the central location in the city and reminds us about the opulence of the past era. It is really a priceless treasure for the entire nation.

The Mysore palace is commonly known as the Amba Villasa by the district people. It is an outstanding mishmash of the Dravidian, Indo Saranac, Oriental and Roman Designs of the structural designs. This is a grand palace which is a three storied boulder edifice of fine grey granite. The architects have made the use of the rich pink marble domes. When you enter this palace you will come across a Gombe Thotii or the Pavilion of the Doll. This pavilion has a number of traditional dolls that belong to the nineteenth and twentieth century. You can also take the pleasure from the wooded elephant howdah which is adorned with 84 kg of gold.

There are seven canons in frontage of the Gombe Thotii which are utilized during the beginning of the Dusshera festival every year. It marks the commencement of this fiesta. At the forefront of this elephant gate you will find the main entry door of the focal part of this palace. The Kalyana Mantapa has an outstanding and majestic octagonal gabled roof which is covered with the stained glass. This part forms the southern part of the Palace. The common people are permitted to access the Amba Vilasa or the Diwan – e – Khas which was the hall used by the Emperor.

There are nearly twelve shrines in the interior part of this palace that has a complicated design which seems to be of the fourteenth or fifteenth century. The palace has well preserved gardens that are permitted for the access of the visitors. You can make a visit at this bastion on any day of the week, but I will like to advice you that you must make your trip on the weekend. You must make a visit at this turret between 10 am to 5:30 pm. I hope that you will have a great time at this place and you will certainly enjoy your trip.
